Yummz...

Finding directions seem like the hardest thing now! Especially when it's Jean's core weakness. *anxious+stress* Thank God for the creation of that little rectangular thing-the GPS. Makes the impossible be POSSIBLE in such a short amount of time. =) For now it has become the bible of my directions. Thank u Lord!! Little did I know that I actually DON'T have a photographic memory like Ken. =(

Two Sats ago, in the evening was quite splendid, really. Went for a fine-dine event at Le Meridien. Apparently, located on the 8th Floor was renowned Italian restaurant ranked one of the top Italian fine dining places in Malaysia, and the cost per person would be RM 160.00, but I was very fortunate to have dined in there.....for free! *wheeee* =)

Ever heard of Favola before???

(google)

The ambience of the place was very, Venice-ish, with masquerade masks hanging on the wall and the placed themed quite colourful. Upon the walls was a wallpaper of what seemed like it would be during the Venetian festival, and the whole room was decorated with much style and poise. Made me feel like I was back at Venice for a bit, though I didn't eat in any Italian restaurant while I was there, the whole ambience made me feel like it.. =)

Like most proper Italian restaurants, we started off with some lovely breads. Other than the standard olive oil with balsamic vinegar, there were other two dippings which were enough to satisfy my rumbling tummy..hehe..

We had a three-course meal, with the opening, appetizer, entree and dessert. I must say the best was definitely the dessert! Hot and fresh lemon meringue from the oven coupled with some fresh strawberries and original blueberry jam to give it the right amount of contrast and to allow the whole combination to melt slowly in the mouth. What a sensation. =)

And the mushroom soup, well I must say it's the best I have tasted so far in my life-I can still remember how it tastes, with the strong scent of mushroom and cream, served at the very right temperature. The main dish, however, which was a rib-eye steak, was a bit too tough for my liking. I thought it was because mine was well-done, whereby I would much prefer medium rare to medium done, but Dr. Winston was also saying that his medium rare was too tough. Ended up not finishing it also. But the bread dipped olive was a bliss! Damn Italian-ish babeh! =) We had a good time, just mingling and laughing away. Turns out Doctors can be quite a good company. =)

Favola is indeed a good place if you're looking for some authentic Italian food. Well I'd probably go back there for more Dolci (desserts)! One in particular is the Illy Coffee Inspired Tiramisu, and the other would be the Cassata will put it in my 'to-eat' list!

(Note, some pics are extracted from google)

Left Le Meridien at 11 something and reached home just before 12. I was a fulfilling day, definitely. Would visit there again one day, perhaps with someone special. For now, take a look at the pics!!! =)

lotsa love.

Fragile

The Last Song on Astro Channel 413 later this evening that was at 8pm earlier made me realise one thing-I have become more vulnerable.

You would think that a person who has undergone several emotional roller coaster rides in her life would emerge being stronger, as with the perception "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger", and I think that in some ways, that is true, but on the other hand, a part of me has grown to vulnerability, perhaps in appreciation for all that's good and bad in the context of emotions. Teardrops seem to come by easier now, even when the overwhelming moments are short. Guess all you need is a short moment to take your breath away, ehy???

And then I came by a saying on one of Astro's recent advertisements.

"Not everything that counts in life can be counted."

Now ain't that true..?

One of life's greatest philosophies found in the combination of just a few words.

Life isn't that complicated, right???

Why drown yourself in the game of numbers???

Don't stress yourself out. That's why I prefer letters. =)

=)

Oh, and I'm so happy today!!!!

So anxious and excited to go to work tomorrow...Love the adrenaline!!!

lotsa love.

Can't Smile Without You!!!
