Lovely Surprise. =)

~I was in a foreign place. The place in my dream looked familiar. Everything felt light. I was bouyantly taking a stroll by the park when suddenly I heard a phone call. Phone booth maybe??? It felt like I was in a scene in Matrix. I was looking for a phone around me but I find myself gradually zapping away from the place.~

**Back to reality*

My phone was ringing.

I look at my clock.

10.30am.

(waaaahhh... so early!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Took my phone.

It was Heng Fai on the other line. (Hrm hrm...)

Me: "Hello???"

"Come over to my place, quick!!! I need your favour. It's urgent..!"

"But I just woke up. Hrm...Gimme 5 minutes."

"Alright, but hurry okay???"

"*yawn yawn* Alright alright."

***************************************************

7 minutes later.

*ring bell*

(Opens door)

Me: "Hey, Morning. What's up??? Everything okay mah??"

Him: "Come on in."

Me: (Drags feet into Room D while he went to the kitchen)

1 minute later.

Him: (With a Mississippi smile across his face and a platter upon his palms)

****TADAA!***

..yum yum breakfast for me..!

Such a darling. =)

*grin grin*

Promises...

Ironic.

Smelling the roses, looking at the confetti, how they amounted but I don't have the heart to throw it when I know I'm supposed to.

The memories.

Vivid...

No Promises.

We danced to this favourite song, hummed too its tune, and sang to its lyrics.

It held to us a special meaning, brought us back to where we started, made us hung on when the going got tough.

It has always been this song. Because there was none comparable to it.

I remember every detail, how simple became special. The adverse effects thereafter.

You said the words, and have always fulfilled it. All the lengths you took, the many miles.

*********************************

I know I can only wish...

There are things in the past I wish I can undo.

There are also things in the past I wished I didn't do. The ones that caused your heart.

If only I could see things through your eyes. If only I tried to understand.

If only I heard the words you said. If only I listened.

If only we both started listening. Instead of talking and be unheard in the end.

Perhaps life would have taken a different turn.

Perhaps I wouldn't hover so much weight in my heart every time my mind to that place, that time.

But its time for me to take the step forward now.

So let it be a lesson well learnt.

Just Awesome Bake-Dance-Cooking!

We always had casual conversations, but there was this one night where the conversation took an added length and the next thing I know, I was heading to Waitrose to get ingredients to cook! Yeap yeap, it was a Wednesday, and having it be the last day Seniz is gonna be in my block, we decided to cook up something for dinner. And Italian meal it was! a TRUE, lasagna, sumptuous to the core... yummy! *drools*

There was just so much to look forward to-the knowledge of a new dish, the whole process of remembering, experiencing and ultimately tasting the pass/failed outcome of the dish, (very high percentage of failure considering the ultimate klutz I am) and the amount of FUN doing it with Seniz!!!!!!!!!

Seniz is a resident here, a student of Sheffield Hallam too. She's doing nursing, and hearing from her experiences of dissecting and assisting in surgeries makes me thank God I chose business. (Ulk) This is the one time I'm actually grateful for being in my course! But she is just awesome company, really. She comes by as a person who's really friendly, outgoing and hilarious. And what does that sum up to? FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *winks*

So there we were at Waitrose, shopping for the ingredients. She was the leader, and I was just the follower, and damn, she shopped really fast. Her pace quickened every time she found each ingredient and after like 10 minutes, we had everything in the basket like *snap* that! Seriously I have never shopped in that pace in my life. So it was either she was hungry, or excited too. Or BOTH!

And so we cooked! She brought her laptop to the kitchen and we were cook-dancing away!!! We got some butter from Waitrose too coz she suddenly said "Let's bake!" and I was like..."Ohhh no no no...the last time I baked, I nearly burnt the kitchen!!@@ Even my dog didn't like it!" But we did anyways! So banana cake, here we come!

While being engrossed with our conversation, we were like bla bla bla chattering and laughing away not realising that Seniz cracked a rotten egg into the mixing bowl with the bananas in it! Then suddenly, "EWWWW...What's that SMELL!?!?! Ewww it's a rotten egg!!!! Eww it reaks! Take it away!!!!" Darn it, it stunk so bad we had to literally 'evacuate' it from the kitchen and set it faaaaaar faaar away at the other end if the hallway! So we had to start the process all over again and this is me carrying the one surviving non-rotten egg from the bunch!!!

Seniz had to cook a seperate lasagna for herself simply because she is allergic to wheat, tomatoes and onions too. She wanted me to taste a true Italian lasagna so I made mine with a seperate garlic bread also from Waitrose. Yummmmm.... so love garlic bread. Anything that's bread-ish-I like!!! As long as there's no cream. =)

Turns out the baking process was waaaay easier than cooking up the lasagna. Just add a bit of this and that and off into the oven it goes! Banana cake for dessert, anyone??? *beam beam*

And after xxx minutes later (in what seemed like forever), Voila!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our masterpiece!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our tummy were growling already!!! Grrrr,... *drools*

Yay~~!

Success it is, and damn it, it tastes soooo freaking good! (just because I cooked it) =P
Hahahahah!

It was a lot of fun.

Thanks Seniz!

lotsa love. =)

Shopping Spreeeeee.....

The past week has got a whole LOT to do with shopping!!!

Shop shop and shop away!!!

Went to Meadowhall last Friday and scowered the lots for apparels!!!!!!!!!!! Gosh the branded stuffs here are way cheaper than in Malaysia.. The taxes that they charge upon us back at home are just... over the top! Meadowhall is pretty nice, well it looks like MV, only that the sun shines through into the building which makes it look a little....whiter. Haha.

Bought a number of shirts for ppl I love. Got myself a shirt-like dress from Zara too, among other stuffs. I sigh at the fact that only a significant few apparels attract me coz I was expecting waaay more from Zara. Guess it's just not my taste. =( Also, grabbed two pairs of shoes from Dorothy Perkins at only 10 pounds each. CHEAP!!!

Then on Tuesday, we went to Leeds! Ate breakfast at McDonalds. I ate Meat and Cheese bagels for breakfast in a set meal. It was surprisingly nice!!! Wish I had one more. it =(

Yeap, a shopping haven it is. That place is makes anyone splurge no matter where they station! And it's got some nice architecture too. Makes you feel like in a 'high street' whilst strutting the road. Check out some pics! =)

Of course, got myself a few stuffs. =)

And whist the girls gleefully do their share of endless shopping, the guys (perfectly simple minded and non-complacent over the wide variety of choices stretched across them unlike us fickle minded girls), they patiently wait for the girls at the corridor. Very patiently...

...or not.

Haha!

And we visited Primark today coz there were nothing much to do. Bought apparels for mom and Skyped her just earlier and she loves it! Wheeeee! *happy*

And tomorrow, we are going to Blackpool! Yay! Can't wait!!!

lotsa love.

The Escape to Whitby... =)

Two down, three more to go!!!

Just handed up two assignments on the 5th... Ah what a relief!!!

Seriously this is the first and ever last time I ever procrastinate this badly..! This is sooo wrong... Gotta sharpen my skills on "speed-reading"!!! It sure comes in handy when I'm racing with time!!!

Gosh, its been a month since I arrived here. How fast time evidently flies..! Just a blink and wow.. its July already!

You know, I was contemplating on Friday on whether I should visit Whitby, a nice fisherman's village (that's what it is called) or do assignment. The trip was organised by Uni. So all my friends had no plans to skip it. There was an itch for me to go, but I had that darn assignment to finish! So go or not to go?????????? In the end, I decided to go!!!!!! The view at the peak is so pretty. But you know whats the most beautiful??? The scenery on our journey to Whitby. That day was my first ever time I saw the black and white spotted cows! Well not all spotty, but its stil spots! *Glee* I know its silly but when I was young, I saw this Fernleaf advertisement and i said how nice would it be if I could see one of these cows. And 17 years later, that thought came true!!! Wakakakaaka..

Seriously, the view of the hills and mountains in the horizons.... the vast greenery, and contrast with the bright wildflowers..it's beyond words. It's a pity that we were only able to stride through and look at the view from afar. At one moment I wished that I could just run freely and taste freedom! I took some pics, but such gifts of nature by God can only be truly appreciated with the naked eye, and definitely not through lenses. =)

Visited this old church, St. Mary, which looked pretty.....old. And it seemed like it was falling apart. And there was a whole field of cemetery. First time ever I witnessed a church and real life cemeteries surrounding it. You know what it reminded me of? The Haunted Mansion. Felt just like it!!! Yeap yeap!!!

The climax was definitely at the beach..where I had an awesome time...! Shores were meant to be windy, so I took the chance to grab some chill from it and left some footprints on the sand. While the rest of them were playing Frisbee, I decided to take a laid back approach and dip my feet against the cold water, which was sooooo soothing..! It's been awhile since I visited a beach, the last being Chinese New Year. That time I wasn't able to dip my feet into the waters coz the sun was streaking hot and so were the sand! So....dipping... = Totally the right thing to do! The crash of the waves altogether made it all the more wonderful. These are moments money can't buy. =)

And we went for picnic! The weather here at Sheffield is unpredictable, really. One moment its bright and piercing sunny, and the next moment its super cold and windy. Like yesterday, it was super windy too, thanks to the rain. it's back to being cooold again...and my skin is getting dry..AGAIN! But I like. =)

It has already passed a month since I arrived here. And yesterday is a day I'd like to dedicate to little prince. =)

lotsa love.

Here I AM...

... My room is 321A. At Block D. The Forge.

I remember the time I took off from Malaysia... I felt so alone.. I prayed to God that I will be able to endure the thick and thins of being in a foreign land.. That he would watch over me every step of the way.

I prayed hard.

I remember walking through the door to my room the first time. Loved the cozy feeling at that very instant. It was empty, but I couldn't wait to fill it with my stuffs that screamed "jean" and spray some love all over it..! =)

But what took me by surprise is what I saw beyond my window.

(God's Home)

It was St. Mary's church. Just a stone's throw away.

And I knew at that very moment that God did hear my prayers that day.

************************************

It's been almost a month since I arrived. Through the bits of time, I've grown accustomed to the lifestyle here. The weather gets pretty unstable, but M'sia's still incomparable to it. It's getting warmer though, don't need much of the jacket. And the funny thing is, while we at home strive to escape the sun, the local people here just LOVE it!!! Walk out from my dorm on any sunny day and I'll see mats, books, and half naked people sun tanning. Haha. Everyone here is so laid back. Which I like. =)

And there is this awesomely handsome guy who lives at the dorm next door who has blue eyes, speaks like a true Englishman and is just...startling...=) *winks* Not to mention, friendly too. When he looks at me over a simple random conversation, I just can't help but appreciate such effortless beauty, from the colour of his dark blonde hair, the eyes, to those strong features....... Haha. Damn I'm drooling over some random guy! ^^

If only there were more "kwai lous" at Malaysia. =)

***

I'm getting blinded and deafened with my assignments already.

Deafened: The sound of the typing keyboard of my lappy.
Blinded: Research, research, research.......!

I wish I could finish it already! But it's just not happening.. It just seems never-ending!!!

I can't wait till Monday noon comes... Due date!!! =)

..And tomorrow, I'll be going to Whitby at New Yorkshire!!! -)

Can't wait for that too!!!!!!

lotsa love.

Can't Smile Without You!!!
