Then we bumped into Kevin at Old Town who was walking to the public library to study with Richmond. I remember getting a text msg soon after saying "You got a new car?"
Time flies, that was many many years ago.
It was a good car, really. I still remember after gymnastic class in F4, while waiting in the lounge in Holiday Villa Resort, Subang every Sun morning with sis, carrying my oh-so-faithful blue and yellow strapped gym bag on one side, while holding the gymnastic hoop on the other, mom would drive by and pick us up in that car. I remember seeing that same faithful car every day in Taman Jaya station when mom comes to pick me up too. My first driving experience was also with those big steering. It felt good driving that car, felt like I was bigger than almost every other car on the road (until a lorry comes of course =)). It has always been that car, until sis had hers and I grew to have our own.
Many things happened later, with new members joining the car in the porch, and to me, it felt like the car knew that it was time for it to retire. When sis got her City and I got my Mazda, guess the car knew that it has done its job for so long and had ferried us to places when we needed it to, and when we had other members that joined in, guess he knew that his job was done. Fixing it needed us to pay a hefty 14K.
Which was why we sold it away.
And welcomed a new member to the family.
The New Myvi 1.5 Extreme.
Well, dad was never an advocate in local made cars, but when we found out the Engine was made by Toyota, the "Buatan Malaysia" was wiped off the screen. It was better than an Alto in every possible manner, and the price is competitive. N we needed the car almost immediately, which was good coz we got in within a week. The waiting list was initially three months, but hey, connections make wonders. =) We took the highest spec available, with the leather seat, GPS built-in, and all the extras. Sis says its features are quite comparable to her Honda City. Sound system also not bad and the pick-up is quite like mine (and Mazda is known for its awesome pick-up).
Lucky bro, he will get to drive that one most of the time. I used to hate seeing how lucky he is, like now, with him studying in KDU and all while I had to be stuck in that miserable TARC, but I've grown to accept that one person's life can never be compared to another's, my bro included. =) Guess we grow older to be wiser. =)
But I miss our old faithful Serena.

Some other good news to share,
2. Daddy got Sis, Bro and Myself the Maybankard Platinum one, the one that has both Master and AMEX separately. Now I have three blacks. Suddenly my wallet seem very heavy. =)

When I visited a clinic this afternoon, I saw something which I thought was uplifting.
It's by Mother Theresa, titled Anyway...
Cheers..!People are often unreasonable, illogical and self centered;
Forgive them anyway.If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you've got anyway.You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and your God;
It was never between you and them anyway..
