And I thought....

I looked up at the sky.. it was dark-gloomy.

No, it was night. Yes, I'm sure it was.

I looked to the front. There were beautiful lights. Decorated around the trees; forming elements of space and continuum.

Bright it was, yet obscure in my vision- just blinking colours of blue, red, yellow and green.

I see people. Strangers, insignificant beings. There was a celebration, or so it seems.

Gleeful faces, all sparkled with joy. I hear laughter; random bantering and casual conversations. Yet it all seemed like echoes.

There were booze-bottles of beers.

It was an ordinary night at the city.

Car's swifted by; the night was young.

I look beside me, and I see you.

YOU.

WHY are YOU in here???

I felt a tinge in my heart.

Those eyes, those hands, it once meant so much. And that black familiar formal shirt.

Why were you holding my hand???

Was this a part of my past??? A reflection of the shadows of a forgotten memory???

I should be angry, I SHOULD be. It was YOU.

I wanted to be. So many unspoken words hovered in this heavy heart.

But a smile puckered at the corner of my lips. I felt a sense of joy; contentment. All the wrath vanished that instant.

When I saw you smile at me.

It was the old YOU... And for that one moment, I wanted nothing more.

Than for you to look at me in that very special way..

The way you were looking at me now.

You pulled me close to rest on your chest. Rested me in your arms.

And once I felt whole again.

Sheffield...

~My window faces St. Mary's church=)~

Some of the nice scenery I managed to capture with my TX 5.. Suddenly feel an awful lots of happiness that I have this box of memory-capturing device with me!!! Weee~~! There's just so much beauty to marvel...!

lotsa love.

What I've realised???

A few things that I have notice whilst being in this foreign land:

1. The cereals here are really cheap..! For £2, a decent breakfast of Honey Nut Flakes and Fresh/ Skimmed milk is actually very satisfying.!! And in my case, fills in the grumpy tummy during late nights. (Oh how much I miss my dad's fried rice...and noodles...and smoked chicken...and desserts....and fruits...and how much i miss the sound of the blasting TV!!!)

2. There's price discrimination here even on groceries..! (considering the intense competition since there is at least one departmental store in every street) So you gotta be a price sensitive shopper coz everything here is soooooo expensive...! RM x 5=£1 right????? =0

3. While ladies here walk around in spaghetti straps, skin-fitted thin dresses and back-laced attires, we are strapped around thick scarves and accommodatingly wholesome jackets. (What losers we are. Me included. Haha.)

4. Newspapers have naked people in it and it doesn't amuse people around here. And they have strip clubs too. (Eh I didn't go yah. I'm a goody-two-shoes one. hehe.. =P) I mean I knew it all along that people here are waaaay more open-minded and stuffs but can't help being staggered when I was shown that particular second page of the newspaper. Aikss...

5. British people are courteous drivers!!! In Malaysia you'll find men in white collars and dark suits honking at his first opportunity, but in busy roads and junctions where it's clearly the driver's rather than the pedestrians way, they actually stop and gives way to us pedestrians. Back in the homeland, not many has the time or most importantly, the heart to be courteous. In many instances other than this, the courtesy of the people around here precede us in far and many ways. Which I appreciate. =)

6. While their 1 and 5 pence is smaller than their 10 pence, their 10 pence coin is a bit bigger in size than their 20 pence!!! And the biggest of them all is the 2 pence, which loses by a bit to their 50 pence is diameter. Guess over here, size doesn't really matter right??? Which is good, because it shows the depth in their perception. =) We should learn from them and quit being shallow people. =P

7. Everything closes at 5. Most departmental stores, shops, offices-everything. So by six, although the sky has light, the road gets sooo quiet and lonely u can hear your own footsteps echoing in the distance while walking, and at night, it's like Ghost Town already. (Oooooooooo.....)

Know what I'm thinking right now???

I'm thinking about my dad's cooking, in particular his roasted pork. I miss it so much I swear I would take the first flight home and endure that 15 hours jetlag just to taste it again... you have no idea how good a cook dad is...and how I miss him... =(

Listening to Janet Jackson's Nothing right now. Awesome one. Soothing to the soul~..

Lotsa love.

A New Tale..And Lots More Stories to Come.. =)

And so I have landed in the Land of the Brits.. How has it been so far?? Well its been awesome, except for the agonizing fact that I miss the family to bits..! Everyday I come home to this empty box-like room, and although it seems so comfortable (and it is), its just lacking the hysterical noises of laughs and chatter. I remember the first day I entered into this room after dinner, the room was just.... EMPTY.. and suddenly I miss everyone at home so much..! =(

But hey, there are some good parts. Firstly, the sun sets at 10.30 pm over here, and it rises at 4.00 am everyday, so there's more day than night here, which I find just...WEIRD.. Haha.. but it's amazing too!!! Feels so energetic just coz of the weather. Everything is faster here. Sleep faster, eat faster, only doing homework is slower..haha.. (Guess the study mood hasn't set in yet) =P It's always wet over here (due to the rain), but I love rain, and hate the sun, so I'm at the right spot on Earth now..! =) The wind blows from the North, so that's why its so coooold at night coz North=Arctic.

Went to York during the weekend for a one day trip, and no words can describe the overwhelming beauty that some strategic spots hold. The York Minster stands tall in pride, and its beauty is worth the meticulous marvelling.
=) Took this silly picture. Haha. So funny trying to get everyone into Ron's sunglasses's reflection. =P

And the grass.... Aaaaah... did I mention that its as soft as a feathered pillow??? I was laying on the grass looking up a shabby tree, and I swear the beauty of the swaying leaves and the contrast of its different colours when the sun passes by makes u feel like in a whole other world, and there's no other place in the world you'd rather be than just lay under that tree. First time feeling so aimless feels so GOOD. Haha. Who'd ever knew that looking at a tree from down under would propose such beauty???
Uni has started, and today's a kickstart to the second week already. How fast time flies. There's just so much more to see! And experience! And I'm looking foreward to every single moment of it..! But despite all that, my family's close at heart. And I miss Cha and Jon just as much.. This was the last time I saw my loved ones... Cha and Jon came all the way to send me off that day.. Now u know why they are just lovely darlings????.. and yeap, I did cry... Awwww.. ^^..

Lotsa love.

Can't Smile Without You!!!
