I'm aging.. =(

This week, I feel old.

While I was writing the date on a piece of paper today, little did I realise that 9/9 was the day I spent the very last moments in my hostel in Sheff. It was the last day of exams, and I remember going to the City Centre for the last time. I remember packing, sleeping off.... Gosh, it's been a year. How did time fly so fast??

A friend of mine got married. It seemed like a lovely wedding, to a man who has been her best friend, lover, and soul mate since high school. She used to be my neighbour, and we used to travel back home together after school.

I remember her saying "I'll marry him one day", and the day finally arrived.

And then I met another friend whom I have not had the chance to catch up with since bumping her in Kings in 2006 and shared a 10-minutes chattering session before we continued our lives and it never inter-twined until...this week.

How did half a decade pass? I don't know.

Just this afternoon I passed my old primary school and the gates were wide open, and from where I was I could see the distance pass the staircase, foyer, grand staircase all the way up to the end where the stage stood. It used to look more grand when I was little. It looked smaller now. I remember dancing on that stage countless times while I was growing up. The year I walked out of those halls was 2000. How did a decade plus fly so fast?? I don't know.

And to top it all, did anyone read the Star newspaper recently??? This month it turned 40, and that being so, it was so clever of them to turn back time and reminisce the good old days of "news-back then" for the coming month. (yeaps, its been some time since I actually had time to open up The Star). But really, the imperfect spacing, the type-written information and the way news were written back then seemed waaay more interesting! Even sensitive topics were more openly discussed. Reading the news today was like a breath of fresh air! But it got me feeling like those days where people actually wear cheong sum in coffee shops sipping their morning coffees while reading the newspaper. And then, I feel old again. Ughhh...

During the Raya holidays, we took the chance to 'balik kampung'. It's hard to believe 5 years went by since the last time we went back to the village. The minute we arrived, I could already smell the scent of the kopra being burnt to keep the mosquitoes away. Well perhaps I would post more in future posts.

Gosh, I feel old.

I think I see wrinkles already..!

Gotta get some beauty sleep!!!

Nights everyone...

lotsa love.
