The Sum of Life

If God gave you the power to turn back time and change one thing, what would your answer be? If it's nothing, then I'm pretty sure that you are leading a pretty darn good life right now, good for you.

But the fact is, many of us have regrets, all of us, really, and those are the mistakes made thay defines us as we are  today. Some mistakes, as i look back now, i smile to myself, wondering how silly a person i was. I am not smart. I never have been. I remember being called stupid many times before. Perhaps it's all in the past, and the person who said it must have regretted it (i hope), but i sometimes recall of those times with a pinch of salt. As the way the world is made, the one thing you can never take back is words that you have spoken. The only thing you can do is apologise, and hopes the counterpart forgives. But that, is all in another chapter.

We will never know whether a decision we have made is the right one or not. I just follow my heart in doing what's right. I believe, so does everyone else.

If there was one thing I have learnt in my life, it would be that life is the sum of all the decisions that we make.

Many a times we wonder if we are doing ther right thing, that whether this would be relevant to us, whether the road taken would take us to the ultimate place, our goal. Or perhaps it's just me, that I am jut thinking too much.

And we will never know, for sure, until that one thing happens which marks it's significance. Some people get there eventually, but they arrive only to realize that the dream that they had was long overdue. Seen it in movies, not in real life though. Funny how life turns out ehy?

People always say, dare to dream, it would lead you somewhere, someday. But little did they realize the only a significant few reaches to the very top of where they intend to set themselves out to do in the first place. What happens to the rest of them? Left in disappointment in living the ordinary and maybe less of a life?

Not so true. Some people, in due course, finds happiness in what they do, and although its short from their intended destination, it would suffice that they feel happy with their achievements in how their lives have carved out to be.

Many things have happened recently. Some decisions were made. Although it didnt make everyone very happy, I guess, I believe, I owe it to myself to answer to no one but me, and that life is the sum of my decisions, and yes, people would judge (they always do), so as long as I know that I made this decision based on what I truly believe in, then when I look back, I will have no regrets. Time is something we cannot take back. It's time we live it for ourselves and not for others.

And yes, I'm heeding Sanjit's advise to me. I'll need a break for now.

Lotsa love.
