Celebrations of Love..

If every month was a full-speed month for me, then October would be double the speed. Except for work, everything else seem to double up in pace. In a good way, of course. =)

It was a good month, a month filled with good memories, as it has always been every year, I guess particularly it was because it was the month of my birth date.

This year marks marks my 24th. OMG I'm getting old. I swear i saw some wrinkles on the morning of my birthday..! Or.. Has it always been there already???? (Hrm hrm.. Must be the hormones talking). Let's flash back 24 years ago, on this exact day.

I wonder how many babies share the same birth date with me. Oh all the cute brothers and sisters-in-date who share this wonderful date of birth with me. I bet their all just wonderful people!!! *smiles smiles*

I guess I'll never know the exact number, but I know of one person who is just very similar with me in several ways, and I love as much as respect him as a person, a companion and a brother-by-birth. And he has always, and constantly been there for me through the thick and thin of my life since he walked into it and I have never looked back since. It's cool to know of someone you can consider a big brother, someone who will be there to give you a shoulder when you need it (or not), someone to give you a clear advice when your world seems so messy with the unnecessary rubbish, and someone that will keep me sane. That's the brother that I dearly love, Jonathan.

We spent a date together, like we promised each other every year. This year, we went to Sizzlers to have a nice, decent dinner. It was a wonderful day, apart from the fact that we had the most horrendous time finding the location of the restaurant, which was apparently in Peninsular Hotel. IIsh iish! But all's well ends well, coz we found it..!

Sizzlers had one of the best mushroom soups I have tasted so far. Of course, it cannot beat Favola (like duh lah), but it's pretty decent for it's price, considering that they were ample on the tiny chops of mushroom pieces in the soup. The steak platter was alright. We went shopping before coming to the restaurant, to buy my birthday gift..!!! Heheh...He bought me a pretty pretty dress, while Damian and I got him the latest Manchester United Away Jersey. That was the happiest I have heard of him since I knew him, to be given a pressie which he so loved. His happiness to me was worth a million bucks. (yeaps, you are worth that much to me bro *winks*)

It's tradition that every Quarter, no matter how we performed in each of our areas respectively, we must have a night out in the name of friendship, love for life and, well if we hit our targets, then it's a bonus. =) Plus, it's the Birthday of the October babies,.! So this time, we went to Ecoba. It was situated at Damansara Perdana, where we ate a pretty fulfilling, constantly flowing western cuisine dishes comprised of starters like the clam chowder, mushroom soup, salads and calamari mix, with the main comprised of beef staglioni, fish and chips, chicken chop, and some other dishes in which I have forgotten them by names, and desserts too. The awesome part is, it's Western Buffet..! So you could imagine my tummy after dinner. Looks like 3 months? No lah, maybe 5. Haha. Luckily it shrank back to it's usual size the next morning.. If not, OMG!!!! @@

That night was fun. There was no need to pretend, no upper management, it was just the four of us being, just us. Perfect. And guess who came to join us after some time?? You know that sex couple who made a big hoo-haa recently? What's their name again? Oh yes, Vivian and Alvin. They 'graced' us with their presence when we were on desserts. Ah well, I guess everyone was a bit agitated for a moment but we went on with our lives. Too bad for the guy, I could see that he was hoping for more attention. Too bad dude, not everyone appreciates how you appreciate your work of art. =P

Look at the pics. =)

(Birthday dress from Jonathan) =)

There were many people that I celebrated my birthday with this year. Of course, as tradition never fails us, it's the birthday celebration with my ever dearest family in which I so love and adore. It was that Sunday before actual birthday, before I truly and officially turned 24 *grunts*... We had lunch with everyone that mattered in Mamamia Restaurant . It was a full-course meal, which had...Hrm, let's see, some quite expensive dishes I must say. It started off with the five-seasons dish (daddy said it would cost RM200+ if we ordered it ala carte off the menu in any restaurant, that is, if they even have it off the menu), and then the usual shark fin's soup, then a Curry Fish Head, the roasted pork, etc.

With the price of only RM488, it was a meal that was worth spending. Well of course with the additionals, the bill came up to RM 570, but as long as I was happy, and everyone WAS happy, that's all that mattered. And look at my cake..! Isn't this just beautiful????

It's courtesy from Uncle Kwong..! =) From RT cake house..! I had two RT cakes to devour this year..! (*Sheer happiness*). This one was the black forest cake. Damian ate all the cream while I ate the sponge. Sometimes I'm just so grateful that honey knows just what to do; he automatically removed the cream from the sponge, and ate all that full-fat and carbs batter and gave me the good part. =) (So loved..!)

It was a wonderful day. Then we went shopping thereafter, like our usual family outing, but this time, we had Jeen with us..! Hehehe.. Mom and her kicked it off like they were best girlfriends. She helped shopped for my perfume too!

So glad you could make it back Ken! Thanks..!
(My loving parents)
My Handsome brother!

My dear Jeen also took the time to celebrate my birthday with me. We ate at Pasta Zanmai after work. I introduced her to the Teriyaki Chicken with Garlic Rice and Egg. I was right, it was awesome! Jeff must be jealous if he ever knew the existence of this blog and saw this picture realised that he is not in it..! Haha. Sorry dude, girls only. =P

Who would have known that Jeen is the most constant person I actually hang out with after college? I remember those times when we used to get mixed up with each other when the tutor calls out our name simply because our names sound so similar. And every time I see her, I would recall of those times she would come up to my room and we would eat snacks together back at Sheffield, and she always remembers the banana cake I baked her. Who would have known that we would become the best of friends????

Love you my dear. Thanks for making my birthday so special. =) Our next stop, Rakuzen!!! =)

Then my special, special day, the real day, I spent it with no one else but my love, my darling... It was a day I was looking forward to, especially the night. But I had to drag myself to office since it's a reporting day. But to my surprise, my colleagues too surprised me with a birthday cake after the meeting..! When I came in, everyone looked like they were busy doing the usual stuffs, like reporting, talking to boss, finishing some paperworks, and everything was like normal until Looi called out a sudden meeting in the meeting room. Then, tadaa!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEAN!! Omg, so surprised. So happy..! =) It was the Classic cheese cake from RT Cakehouse, bought by my dearest Angel.. =) If you think Secret Recipe has some pretty good cheesecake, let me tell you that RT beats it by a good mile in comparison. So yummy, so thick, so rich in texture..!

Thank you my dearest colleagues..!

Then we went to Sing K!!! Lols..And to note that I was coughing badly, it didn't stop me from screaming my lungs out in the box..! Hehe..Ehy, I'm only turning 24 once right?? Gotta make the most of it man..! We also danced to Gangnam Style..It was crazy fun..! =)

Went to work for a bit, just to see some of my favourite doctors in the hospital in which I had much association with, the hospital which gave me my second life. =) The hospital which name I can associate i from my tender years up to now, Assunta. Saw Dr Lim Wye Keat, my favourite doctor, amongst another two. Dr Lim complemeted on my dress. =)

Then I fled to be with my darling.

The evening transcended beautifully. We were making our way to Bangsar. It was drizzling, that very night. I know God was mercifully nice that day because he knows how much I adore the rain.

Upon the bridge connecting to Bangsar Village 1&2, we both stood there, arms wrapped around one another. It was a cold night, and I wanted nothing more than to be wrapped around the arms of the person I loved, and who loved me too. Overlooking the bridge was the distance; the view of the rows of shophouses, lights of different colours illuminating from the signboards, and clear raindrops pouring from the sky, like little icy gifts from the heavens. Looking at the pathway from where I stood, it suddenly felt like I was looking at the road lying ahead of me, and the road before me that led me to where I am today. It was a moment of solitude. Suddenly felt a little frightened, thinking of the unknown of how and what the future might be. And then I saw that familiar smile. That smile that reassured me, that everything was going to be alright. And I thank God that he was around.

It was so adorable of him, how he decided to surprise me with my actual birthday gift. That, would be a memory I do not need to pen down here, for I know for sure, I'll never forget it for the rest of my life. =)

I loved how the watch sparkles in the night when the Swarovski crystals reflect the light that shines upon it honey. Thank you so much. I love you. Not going to wear it every day though, though I know that's what you hope for me to do. It's just too expensive as a daily accessory. But i love it, and love it more and more each time I look at it. You made the right choice honey. Have I told you that I love you yet???? <33 nbsp="nbsp">

We ate at Garibaldi. I ordered my first glass of Martini. Lol, I know right, this girl is 24 and she has not had a  glass of Martini in her life?? And her dad owns a liquor business? Get out of here!! Haha.. But yeap, it's true..! So I thought, let's take a Martini tonight. =)

Worse decision I have ever made for the day. Should have stuck with white wine. =(

But the dinner was nice. Here are some pics. =)

My chicken parmigiana with tomato and cheese, with wedges on the side.

(Gift from my honeybunch. Look at that travel pouch..! Don't you just love the "kiss" hanging on the knob?)

And so, let's have a look at the GIFTS..! =)

Daddy got me a red packet. =) Mom got me this...

Swarovski's first generation of perfume!! EDP!! =))) I love love love the bottle. It just screams one word. ELEGANCE! I adore the scent too, it just seems, unforgettable. Thank you mummy..! I so love it..! And I love you..! Muaxx..!!

Sis got me a bag from Valentino Rudy.. It has such a cute design..!I fell in love with it the moment I saw it. =) Keeping it for some special occasion only. =) Since I'm so rough by nature, gotta save good stuffs like this for only special events..Thanks Che..! Love you too..!

Ken got me a pair of pearl earrings and necklace from Wah Chan.. Thought of the right dress to match it with already.. Thank you Ken..! (I'd like to say I love yah, but it would be reeeeeally weird now, wouldn't it? *lol* )

(This is random, but this is the mileage of my Mazda on my Birthday at my house before hopping into Honey's car) =) My Birth-date number..! Maybe my lucky number??? =))

Thank you so so much, everyone, for making my Birthday Celebration this year so special. I thought it was going to be another random day, but because of the extra miles every one of you have taken, you have made this 24th Birthday a wonderful, memorable, and special one, and for that, I am very, very grateful, and will remember it for a very, very long time.

Thanks again.

lotsa love.
