Last night I went on an unexpected outing with a friend I made in the most unexpected way. Ask me how I met him, and I'm pretty sure I won't forget it in a long time. Probably ever. In a good way of course. :)
It was a rainy day, and I was wearing my burgundy dress. Walking in the rain with my burgundy umbrella and my burgundy hair did make me look quite attractive, I must say. That, was when I looked at my reflection in the mirror and realized that I have grown so much, and matured just as much too. For a moment there I didn't know who I was looking at in my reflection. Weird feeling, but hey, I guess the nostalgic feeling of time and space came by as I was walking to the restaurant in my pretty little burgundy umbrella, my new burgundy hair-do, and my current favorite burgundy dress. :)
Prior to that I was in the hospital, and a nurse assistant wanted my picture because she said I looked different too. It was an awkward moment, really. Hahah. But a compliment nonetheless. *happy moment*
A doctor bought me a drink just because my hair matches my dress too. Funny right?? Well, he is currently one of the closest doctors ever, so yeah that was nice. :)
Dinner was fulfilling.
We were having sizzling platter which had lamb briskets, pork loins, dory fish, mash potatoes and salads. I was on a diet so it was definitely a handful. We opened a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon. Amazing, how I think back and realized my drinking skills have improved tremendously since two years ago.
I was in Cambodia once. Had a bottle of white wine and I only drank probably 1/3 (or less, for the matter) and puked the s*** outta myself in the resort. Hahahah. Good memories of the good old days. :) Good drink, good ambience, good company, good conversation. Sometimes life is that simple, right? Don't need anything too complicated. Just the wind in ur face, a person who reciprocates your smiles, and well, a good wine won't hurt. :)
Drove myself home safe and sound.
Another outing this week was with another friend that.. Well, also met me for the first time in the funniest way. After so long we made this outing happen. The guy who hit my car and later became my friend. How ever is that possible? Lol.. Talked about religion, God, mainly, and it surprises me how a young chap like him has the depth and wisdom to speak like an old man. Like he said "I'm an old soul stuck in a young boy's body". Haha.
And my final outing was with another friend for a movie. We ate a good dinner at Morganfields, had Iberico pork (omg so succulent), some really good chilli cheese nachos which was an awesome handful, and watched Godzilla. :) Godzilla was OMG la who told me it was nice again?????????? Luckily the company was fun so it made movie-watching bearable.
Then of course, if ever I went out for movies on Friday, there is a session with my oh-so-i'll-never-know-how-to-describe-us, Mr Simon. If you saw us from a third party point of view, you might think that we are a couple. Most certainly not. Hahahaha. Sometimes I wonder how ever we got here, I think it's too much of bantering and too much of alcohol. But yeah I spent the night with the guys before heading home. :)
This has been a truly hectic week of outing. Fun nonetheless, but well, I have to save my energy for traveling! Soooooooooooo Yeap Yeap sooooooo looking forward to it!!! :)
Lotsa love.
