Home Sweet Home... =)

Seems like forever since the last time I penned an entry here. Well, many things have happened since, left the simple city of Sheffield with a heavy heart, visited many countries, saw many different things, experienced new cultures altogether and grew up (mentally) from where I was to where I am now. I took a stroll up North to the land of the Scots and visited Europe, and although it was more or less a ‘touch and go” experience, whereby I wasn’t able to truly experience the essence of the beauty of each country that I have visited, I saw the best of each (in my definition). I saw the beauty of nature and its wonders, ate some nice food, and I bet if only I stayed a bit longer I'll be able to met some nice people. Europeans are passionate in what they do, especially if they love it. I realized that my home country is nothing but a small island as compared to the rest of the world, and compared with what other countries had in which my home country lacked. Food is the best at Malaysia, although friar grass was a new delicacy to the naked eye and the dripping mouth. Europeans had a different approach, more laid-back way of savouring life, while we Asians do it differently. The monuments boast high up in the sky, and statues and sculptures built hundreds and hundreds of years ago, along with it the magnificent history still stands up to today for us to marvel. With Greek, Roman, Egyptian history, I've seen it all, and it was marvelous. =)

It would take time, to story and pen down what happened to me the past month. Perhaps il'l take the time to record it all before the meticulous details erases from my memory through time. But the journey of exploring one part of the world, traveling for the past month has definitely been an eye opener. But before I go into those details, I’d like to rejoice the moment that I have returned home.

Seriously, there is just no place like home. They say that traveling with friends is not the same as traveling with family, and after trying both, I’d still prefer the latter. Maybe it’s because the bond shared between my bro and sis and I are so close that I don’t find the laughter and chemistry in another company, although I do find some solace in my dearest. We went to eat on Sunday, all the way to Semenyih. Well, it’s about 40 minutes drive past Mines Wonderland and stuff. It was a Chinese restaurant and we ordered what I thought was a sumptuous meal. Dad rejoiced in happiness because I’m home and am the first in the family who holds a degree with me. I’m glad I made him proud that way. =)

Uncle Cheng and Uncle Kwong came to join us too, along with Mr. Goh and his wife. Together, all 10 of us, we dipped our spoons and forks/chopsticks into 11 dishes! Yeap, 11 damn-fulfilling dishes! Check out the pics…

Dad brought 5 bottles of liquor altogether, yummy yummyumm! What could go better with seafood if it weren’t white wine, and red wine on meat??? So we drank and chattered all the way. Boys will be boys, so brother grabbed and drank one bottle of the white wine all to himself. Then he was pretty tipsy and slept like a piggy in the car. All the acts of trying to be a young man and then he sleeps like a baby thereafter. How silly. But cute. =) Stiill the same old, spoilt baby brother of mine at 17. =) Of course, all the attention was quite on me because it was to celebrate my return and an advanced Birthday celebration. Yeap yeap yeap! Madame’s birthday is coming soon! *wink wink*

It’s good to see the familiar faces of family again after awhile. Felt a sense of completeness and security to have found my way home to this cozy feeling. Guess some part of me never grows up huh???

The road ahead would be different now, now that I am at the end of my studying life. Now I’m geared on to my working life!!! Damn, I think I had too much fun already for the past month that I sooo gotta find work soon!!!

Lotsa love.
