So what did I do in the past month??
Well, for starters, I joined the World Diabetic Day walkathon. And I walked a fun 5km!!!
At first I was reluctant to attend it, and I was like, "Really??? On a Saturday morning???? Like omg I'm just too lazy..!" I almost felt like bailing out, but I had all the participants' shirts with me, so, damn, can't chicken out now, can I?..which was why I asked for a favour from Danial to pick me up from home at 6.45am. He was so nice to offer me a lift. If not, I'm pretty darn sure I'll get a call from who-so-ever who's there at 8.30 screaming "Where are you Jean?!?!?!?!" Lol..
And so we ran!!! Walked for the most part, but ran when we felt like it. And suddenly, amidst the walk, it had to rain..! And we were thinking halfway through the walk, probably st that point passing the 1.5km mark, that it was God's calling la, that He jjust doesn't want us to walk. :) Both Denesh and I were contemplating on turning back, get on the car and driving home (coz going back would have been a waaaay shorter path), but finally he was like "F*** it la we came all the way and are already soaked, might as well finish the race man. :)" And so we did! We emerged Victorious! Well from the back la, maybe we were the 12345th people who reached the finish line. :) hahahah.. but hey, we finished! And it was all fun and laughter along the way, which was totally awesome!!! Denesh is an awesome entertainer. :) Better than sleeping through the morning. Don't feel so lazy anymore..! *winks*
Talk about losing weight, after running we went to makan, where at??? Acme Bar and Cafe at Troika, of course! :) Another round of good breakfast. I ordered egg Benedict infused with vegetables and hollandaise sauce. Suddenly, it felt so 'Masterchef-iish'.. *Smiles* simply heavenly..! And the sizzling brownie, Ahhh to die for!!! A must try really, ignore the calories. Like they say, you can burn the fats tomorrow, but you can't find a brownie like this one..! A must eat!
Went for the most extreme, called the Extreme Challenge. :) Simon had to tail me coz I was soooo afraid I wouldn't be able to throw myself off the cliff for the 23m starter Flying Fox. For a moment there I recalled of the moment I fell off the building and the tree. But in the end, when I took the leap of faith (without anyone's help), it was the most.. Exhilarating feeling ever!!!!!! My first flying fox experience and already from a pretty high dismount point. Loved it..!!! Never looked back and completed all the challenges! So fun!!! :) Guess I'm not that afraid of heights anymore. :)
Body ached like nuts that night. :) took Vimovo. Lol. :) drug girl taking her own drugs. Weird.
It was a good weekend, really. Was so much fun. Hope my 'company' had an equal fun as well! He says that the extreme has a higher difficulty level by 20% from his opinion. He looked like he had a lot of fun. I'm glad. :)
Gotta start writing 2013 resolutions already..!
Ohh ya, bought myself a super expensive dress. Like, the most expensive of my collections. But hey, if you like it, and you can afford it, why not, right??? It's good to splurge once in awhile. It's good for the soul. (Hahah, tryna console myself)
Looking forward to December. :) The end of the year is approaching..! Time to re-visit your checklist people!!!
Lotsa love..! :)
