The Lane Previously Walked...

Music is my soul. Heck, it's everyone's. Every night for about many months now, I have made it mandatory to hear Lite FM, starting from after its midnight news till half and hour later. All the love songs..It just feels so complete. And I so love the oldies~!! On a personal note, oldies songs are waaaay more meaningful than any of the shallow songs there are in the market right now for all the wrong reasons la. Songs right now, it magnifies stuffs like clubbing, hitting the bars and sex. Yea, I know music is supposed to be expressive, but just stick to love la. Music can be the source of all evil you know. No point polluting the minds of the younger generations right?? Coz music is a very powerful thing. =S

It seems like every song they play on Lite FM is easily related to my past. Just last night, Dan Hill's one and only rendition of the infamous "Sometimes When We Touch" filled the air, and it immediately brought my mind to one person (a boy, of course) back from high school and how life was for me in the past.

Suddenly I thought of my high school years, and I remembered, how much I hated my life back then. You know, when immaturity surfaces and all the rest is history??? Haha. There was this note that I wrote on my ICQ, about how much life sucked back then, never wondering that those were the most wonderful years of my life. Stupid me. There were so many things, Gymnastics, Ballet, Taekwondo, Girl Guides, Interact, being a good student, and above all, CHEER and LEO. Then there was tuition in AC and Nirmala's. Friends of course. Puppy love, not forgetting. Crushes??? Everyone has that I'm sure. Just I never learnt how to be grateful. Still, glad I made the very best out of it with no regrets. =)

Then I was going through Assunta's 46th Year Book (2009) Edition. And there was this particular note that caught my eye. All that I mentioned summarized in this interesting piece. Check it out. Plainly creative. Eh, wait, creative is NOT plain!!! *grins* Here's it.

Sometimes I wonder what people mean when they asked me, where did I get my accent from. I didn't even realise I actually had an accent until I entered college. And then I realised where all the accents and orginality came from. It was just 'gifted' from being a part of an Assuntarian. Almost everyone in Assunta who made English their mother tongue had an accent!! Some even more outstanding than mine!!! Know how I know?? Coz they are my neighbours!!!!! Aikz....

... It's a lie if I say I dun miss high school. Perhaps its because college life is not as interesting??? I mean, it screams the total opposite. But hey, no complaints. Coz I'm outta there already!!! Hallelujah!!! Woo Hoo~! =)

...Yet I had to go back to college yesterday to get briefed about the various agencies and airlines that are available to get to UK in a few months time. I'm still wondering which to choose. Hrm Hrm... And oh ya, while having hours between the sessions, we visited the new block, where it became the new CITC. It looked pretty good wei! Fancy architecture and all. Darn, only when we left the college do they provide such facilities lah. Ugh...
